Sarah Wilson Private Psychotherapy & Counselling
My name is Sarah Wilson and I work as a Private Psychotherapist and Counsellor in the Bradford and Leeds area.
My sole mission is to relieve the emotional stress and suffering of my clients and to enhance their mental health and wellbeing.
I offer a confidential, safe, discreet, comfortable and non-judgemental environment where, together, we can gain insights into your past, how this relates to the present and how it can affect the future. The past cannot be changed but how you let it affect your life can be.
Whatever emotional distress you are going through will be respected and I will encourage you to speak openly and freely, so you can build trust in the therapeutic relationship.
I’m a fully qualified, accredited and registered Psychotherapist strictly adhering to ethical frameworks and codes of practice.

I have counselling rooms in BD10 Greengates and LS28 Calverley
To maintain my accreditation, like many therapists, I also attend continuing professional development (CPD) courses each year, to ensure I am always up to date with theoretical, contextual and neuro-scientific developments. I also attend ongoing professional Supervision to discuss my caseload and ensure I continue to work in an ethical and safe way, by always putting the needs of my clients first.
I have full public liability insurance and a clear enhanced DBS check.
Along with working in my private practice I also volunteer as a counsellor for a local Bradford charity.
People start therapy for a number of reasons, such as:
- Maybe a recent life event has had an emotional affect on you from which you are unable to move forward.
- You realise some aspects of your life have to change.
- There are conflicts at home or work that you feel you are unable to deal with.
- Difficulties figuring out the direction of your life.
- Have the inability to create or maintain intimate relationships.
- Life transitions such as job, career or retirement
- Low motivation
I have to say a big thank you...
“I have to say a big thank you to you Sarah for helping me at a low point in my life. To anyone who is in doubt about seeking therapy, please go. Sarah is so caring and helpful. She made me look into an area of my life I had chosen to forget but this was the reason I was struggling with my life. I wake up now with hope about the future.“

Therapy is not as rare as you may believe…
Therapy is not as rare as you may believe and many people you encounter on a daily basis may have previously or are currently receiving therapy of some form.
Starting therapy is the first step towards improving your life and wellbeing. When I see you for the first time, this important process has already begun. Many people feel hesitant in opening up to a complete stranger; these feelings subside, and therapy quickly becomes very natural.
Sometimes it is hard to know if counselling is what you need, especially if you have never spoken to anyone about your feelings and emotions before. I realise this can be daunting, however, most people can feel the benefits of therapy, even after their first session, purely because they have taken the first positive step towards addressing their emotional conflicts.
Through the process of therapy, clients grow in strength and confidence, gain a sense of freedom and self-acceptance, and ultimately become more insightful and empowered.
From my experience, therapy is a wonderful opportunity to change your life.
